Origin
Quomak′s origin dates back to 1887 when Yves Vleminckx′ great-great-grandfather started a mustard mill in Leuven.
102 years later the factory, which had developed into an ultramodern sauce factory, was included in the Vandemoortele group and Yves Vleminckx started an independent R&D lab for the food industry under the QUOMAK logo.
His passion 'creating new product concepts and tastes' was born.
In 2007, Quomak celebrates its fifteenth anniversary and 120 years of knowledge and know-how of the Vleminckx′ family.

Quomak has a bridging function between the centres of competence of the ingredient producers, the universities,the research centres and the food industry.
The Quomak centre of competence is made up of a central tasting kitchen with a number of pilot systems, a cell for microbiological analysis and a cell for physicochemical analyses.

Quomak′s mission statement is to be a confidant for the customer as a co-maker in food.
