I am among those who think that science has great beauty. A scientist in his laboratory is not only a technician: he is also a child placed before natural phenomena which impress him like a fairy tale.
Projects
Innovation is a powerful tool to sell more at a higher price and to stand out from your competitors resulting in a better negotiating position with supermarkets and professionals.Design and development on demand of the industry and on our own initiative have already resulted in several patents.
A selection of recent Quomak projects:
- Sterilized cheese sauces: We tackled the problem of the burnt taste and the brownish colour by adapting the recipe.
- Imitation crab: in analogy with surimi crab, we created a crab substitute on the basis of the white of a chicken egg which has a fine crab taste and a good feel.
- Dairy meat: meat substitute based on milk proteins.
- Coatings: sauce and marinade to be sprayed on frozen shrimps, vegetables and instant meals.
- Soy cream: frozen stable light soy cream to use in sauces and salads.
- Vegetable emulsion: seasoned vegetable emulsion to be used as a sauce and olive spread alternative.
- Extract of peas: GMO-, allergen-, gluten- and MSG-free flavour enhancer.
- Salads and sauces: according to the latest technological views.
